The 2016 election was, and continues to be, by far the most nationally divisive event in my life time. The day of the third and final Presidential Debate, I launched a website titled "someonebuyhillaryclintonadrink.com". The insight came from a place where I could only imagine that after a life time of preparing herself for this role, only to be met with an opponent whose strategy was to waltz around questions and throw out buzzwords, surely this woman deserved a damn drink. But I don't know Hillary Clinton personally, and the odds of me ever encountering her are nil... I was, however, able to donate the cost of a drink to her campaign. The red button would take users directly to the $5 donation page of Clinton's campaign site. With the help of a network of friends and influencers, the site was shared through social media alone and managed to generate several thousand impressions with a click through rate of 92%. It also led to an invite to partake in Creative Director Patrick Simkins' project, "cancelxmas.com".
A site with downloadable Christmas cards launched pre-election by Patrick Simkins aimed at educating family members about the staggering difference between the 2016 election and politics as usual.

In 2011, a friend called me needing help dressing an independent label's band for their next music video. Knowing that tight deadlines and non existent budgets were my specialty, he was confident I could pull off three wardrobes in less than seven days. With a little help from stores with generous return policies, sewing skills cultivated during a brief stint in the Girl Scouts, and the band's preexisting wardrobe; we were able to pull it off.
My favorite detail about this video is knowing that the red dress worn by the story's heroine had once been her mother's wedding gown. It was completely altered and hand dyed in my bathtub at 2 am the day before I was diagnosed with mono.
For me this video will always serve as a gentle reminder that anything is possible if you want it badly enough.
In May 2011, the city of Joplin, MO was struck by the deadliest tornado since 1947. When we think of natural disasters, we tend to think of the devastation to the community and individuals. But when family homes are suddenly and unexpectedly destroyed... what happens to their pets?
This is when the ASPCA's Field Investigation Response team deploys. They are the nation's leading boots-on-ground team aimed at rescuing, caring for, and reuniting pets with their families during times of devastation. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to join them on site in Joplin in late June 2011. This is the story of the ASPCA's efforts to aid in recovery and providing temporary shelter to family and displaced pets.
This was a personal project, completely unaffiliated with the ASPCA. To learn more about the ASPCA's FIR team, click here: http://www.aspca.org/animal-rescue
